On 4th May 2017, voters across Greater Manchester will decide who takes office as the first ever directly elected Mayor.
Following a series of GM Citizen events in which UNISON NW Branches played a key role, the four agreed priorities for this new community campaigning organization are:-
- Dignity in Social Care
- The Real Living Wage
- Affordable Housing and tackling Homelessness
- Social Cohesion and tackling Islamophobia
This is not a public meeting or a political hustings. The event will be a friendly family celebration of Greater Manchester, our communities and our public services – with music discussions and testimony from those impacted by the four priority issues.
