
NW UNISON is again organising an international zone at the Manchester TUC May Day Festival on Saturday, 30TH April at the Mechanics Institute, 103 Princess St., Manchester M1 6DD – the birthplace of the TUC.
The day begins at 11:45am with a rally in Whitworth Park, followed by a May Day March at 12:15

The international sessions will run from 13:30pm to 4pm in the Peterloo Room at the Mechanics Institute. We have organised three excellent sessions on a range of important international topics.
13:30 LATIN AMERICA – Marcos Garcia and Helena Menendez, Embassy of Venezuela; Bernard Regan, Cuba Solidarity Campaign; and Tracy Delaney, UNISON North West
14:30 TTIP and CETA: The fightback continues! – John Hilary, Director, War on Want and Laura Williams, Global Justice Now
15:30 PALESTINE – Haya Alfarra, Palestinian Mission and Hugh Lanning, Chair, Palestine Solidarity Campaign
The bar will be open all day, there’s also tea and coffee and then and the Real Junk Food Project will provide ‘pay-as-you-feel’ food in Sackville Gardens. There will be music and entertainment from 20:30:
